Celebrate Iodine Deficiency Day with Primirest!

Iodine Deficiency Day reminds us how indispensable it is for our bodies. Iodine contributes to the normal function of the thyroid gland, is important for the proper functioning of metabolism, brain development and mental well-being. Iodine takes care of healthy skin, strong hair, nails and healthy teeth.

Barvožrout - our school lunches mascot - therefore advises to all diners: "try sea fish for lunch for a change and whenever possible milk, dairy products and cruciferous vegetables. The invisible but extremely important mineral iodine will give you energy, a good mood and you will be healthy grow."

Iodine Deficiency Day falls on March 6 in Czech republic. It was first announced in 1999 by the Czech Committee for Unicef, in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
