December in gastronomy is automatically "marked" by recipes for sweets, cookies and other festive dishes. Only a few holidays in the world have as many traditions and unique recipes as Christmas. Although it is a Christian holiday, it is celebrated all over the world, and the foods that are characteristic for Christmas (and often exceptional, as they are not cooked at other times) vary accordingly.
