Kids' favourite lunches: sauces, schnitzel and buns with vanilla cream

Understanding the tastes of children can be a big science. Or is it not?

While one doesn't like mushrooms, another doesn't like peas and another doesn't like pulses. Thanks to the full digitisation of all our 236 Primirest school canteens and restaurants in the Czech Republic, there's no more guesswork.

The convincing winner of the imaginary children's hitparade of main dishes is the "svíčková na smetaně" (traditional Czech sauce made from root vegetables and heavy cream, served with a beef slice and bread dumplings), which also beat the chicken cutlet. Sauces also score points in the meatless lunch category. Spaghetti napolitana with tomato sauce and basil won the imaginary gold in this category. Of the soups, the vegetable broth with rice is the No.1 in the school canteens and restaurants at Primirest. Among the sweet meal, the most popular with young diners are the "dukátové buchtičky" small buns with vanilla cream.
